My recommendation

I reviewed the live JesusAbiding.me website. The current header contains nine visible items, including four numbered prayer pages and “One Long Page & Remarks.” It presently feels more like a working WordPress page list than a calm personal navigation system.

For this small, personal website, I recommend only three main navigation headings.

Abiding Prayers ▾

Make Abiding Prayers link directly to the Jesus Abiding Prayer Guide.

Place these three pages beneath it as dropdown items:

  • May I Abide
  • May We Abide
  • Abide in Me

The Prayer Guide already works well as the central doorway to these three related forms: Personal Abiding, Shared Abiding, and Mutual Abiding.

Healing Journey ▾

Place these beneath it:

  • Abiding Anchor
  • IFS & Jesus
  • Granma Ross

I would change only the visible navigation label Abiding Practice to Abiding Anchor because the page itself is titled Being and Healing: The Abiding Anchor.

Your finished header would therefore appear as:

That is all the main navigation needs.

Keep the smaller navigation inside the prayer pages

The four Ross-BUX pages already contain a helpful local navigation row:

Keep that row on:

  • The Prayer Guide
  • May I Abide
  • May We Abide
  • Abide in Me

It helps a person move through the prayer collection without placing every page in the main header.

I would call this the Abiding Prayer navigation, while the WordPress header remains the website navigation.

Remove these from the main navigation

Remove the numbers

Change the visible menu labels from:

    1. Jesus, May I Abide
    1. Jesus, May We Abide
    1. Jesus, Abide in Me

to:

  • Abiding Prayers
  • May I Abide
  • May We Abide
  • Abide in Me

The numbers were useful during construction, but they make the finished website feel like a course outline. The Prayer Guide can still present the three practices in their natural sequence.

Remove “One Long Page & Remarks”

The archived long page is more than 800 parsed lines and duplicates much of the newer focused content. Keep it private, draft it, or retain it as a personal archive, but do not display it in the public header.

A suitable private WordPress title would be:

One important page correction

There are currently two different “Jesus, May I Abide” addresses:

  • The correct Personal Abiding page appears at /jesus-may-i-abide/.
  • The main menu currently points to /jesus-may-i-abide-2/, but that page contains the May We Abide material and even displays “Jesus, May We Abide” inside it.

I recommend:

  1. Remove the -2 page from the navigation.
  2. Keep /jesus-may-i-abide/ as the correct Personal Abiding page.
  3. Confirm that the May We material remains at /jesus-may-we-abide/.
  4. Move the mistaken -2 page to Trash once everything has been checked.

This will prevent visitors—and Ross—from opening the wrong practice.

One additional content cleanup

The IFS & Jesus page contains the morning freeze and Frozen Ross practice, but an unrelated Scorpio section begins later on the same page. That material would be clearer on a separate personal-reflection page or removed from this particular article.

The navigation item IFS & Jesus should lead only to material concerning:

  • Morning dread
  • Frozen waking
  • Inner parts
  • Jesus as compassionate presence
  • The one-percent movement practice

Optional footer navigation

A modest footer could contain:

Later, when those pages exist, you could add:

There is no need to place every page in the footer.

Phrases

Strengths: Simple, spacious, and inclusive. It allows both prayers and contemplative statements.

Limitation: It may not immediately communicate relationship with Jesus.

Better forms:

  • Prayer Phrases
  • Jesus Abiding Phrases
  • Healing Prayer Phrases

Prayers

Strengths: The clearest and most natural name for your work. It immediately communicates relationship with Jesus.

Limitation: Some contemplative statements may not be direct requests.

Best public-facing choice:

Abiding Prayers

Intentions

Strengths: Gentle and psychologically accessible. Useful when the phrase establishes a direction rather than making a request.

Example:

Today, I will return gently to Jesus.

Limitation: It can sound more self-directed and less relational than prayer.

Slogans

Strengths: Memorable and easy to repeat.

Limitation: It sounds promotional, commercial, or campaign-like. It does not fully honour the tenderness of these practices.

I would not use slogans as the primary name.

Minis

Strengths: Friendly, modern, and approachable.

Limitation: By itself, minis does not explain what the practices are.

Better forms:

  • Mini-Prayers
  • Abiding Minis
  • One-Minute Abiding Prayers

Of these, Mini-Prayers is the clearest.

Wishes

Strengths: Gentle, hopeful, and non-demanding.

Limitation: A wish may sound passive and may not communicate active relationship with Jesus.

For phrases beginning with may, prayerful wishes could be used occasionally, but not as the main category.

Affirmations

Strengths: Familiar in mindfulness, counselling, and self-development.

Limitation: An affirmation is usually understood as a statement one declares, such as:

I abide in Jesus.

It is less suitable for petitions such as:

Jesus, may I abide.

Your phrases are usually more relational than standard affirmations.

Mantras

Strengths: Widely understood as short, repeated phrases.

Limitation: It comes from Indian spiritual traditions and may make some Christian readers uncertain about the nature of the practice.

You could use it when speaking across traditions, but breath prayer or prayer phrase is better for JesusAbiding.me.

For the current series, I recommend:

Use Mini-Prayers for especially brief, accessible versions.

A clear naming structure for JesusAbiding.me would be:
